DVD Fero Fenic - The Best of Shorts

The Swan's Journey, How Mr. Kralovic Became King, Diadem, There and Back, I've Crossed the Big, Wide World, Batromij's House, Train to Maturity - are seven auteur documentaries that present director Fero Fenic's seven views of the reality, which surrounded him from his student years at the Prague FAMU during the normalization to the break-through year of 1989. The seven films are inherently poetical and also marked by harsh undertones, they discuss personal yet universal issues. Visually inventive images are often presented in artistic stylization, however, always with respect towards reality and truth. This attitude also included Fero Fenic among major personalities of Czech and Slovak non-fiction cinematography.
