The Chopok Mountain, one of the highest peaks in the Low Tatras (Nizke Tatry mountains) - can be visited from both - northern and southern side of the Low Tatras ridge. Grace to this the area of Chopok presents the largest "skiing playground" in Slovakia.
The two ski resorts Chopok north and Chopok south are linked by lifts. After many years of postcommunist transformation there was created one center - Jasna Low Tatras. Jasna has the best natural prerequisites for skiing and snowboarding, for beginners and experienced riders and freestyle enthusiasts.
Altitude is from 900 up to 2000 meters above sea level and that means a lot of snow during winter moths usually.
