The district town Levice is a center of the regions of lower Pohronie and western Poiplie. It is situated in the eastern part of the Podunajska Nizina Lowland. The most important dominant of the town is the Levicky Hrad Castle from the end of the 13th century. It is unusual castle in Slovakia, because it does not stand on the hill.
The thermal pool Margita Ilona is 6 km away from Levice city in direction to Sahy town. Water temperature in four pools is about 25°C. There is a camping.
