Nove Zamky - one of larger cities in the Danubeland Region. It is situated on the right bank of the Nitra river. There was a strong counter - Turkish fortress in the town during the 16th and the 17th centuries. The fortress gradually lost its importance and King Charles III had it pulled down in the 18th century. Majority of its bastion is still recognizable. The thermal pool Strand is located nearby the Nitra River.
