Tatranské osady

The most of tourist facilities is located in settlements in the southern part of mountains, 800 - 1300 meters above sea level. The three biggest settlements are Strbske Pleso (in the western part), Stary Smokovec and Tatranska Lomnica (in the eastern part).

The most of smaller settlements is located in the line between them, offering thus excellent possibilities to access various parts of the mountains.

Settlements are interconnected with electric train, which also connects them with main access points (Strba railway station, Poprad station and airport).

They have also bus connection and it is possible to get to the settlements also by car. In settlements all basic services are provided (medical care, pharmacy, car repairs, tow service, taxi, car hire, banks, insurance companies, money exchanges, post, telephone, hairdresser's, ski equipment hire, cleaning, photo service, gas station etc.).
